Our Philosophy

My approach to DFY.co at PremiumBrands and to building an online business around a clear service offer.

As founder of PremiumBrands.com, I look at names in the context of an offer someone might make to a customer. DFY.co brings a service preference into focus: handing a defined job to someone who can complete it. My interest is in how that idea could become a clear online business.

My experience upgrading Newswire.com

Acquiring i-Newswire.com in 2007 and upgrading the business to Newswire.com in 2015 gave me direct experience with a company’s public address. I came away paying closer attention to whether the name and the business description make sense together in an ordinary introduction.

A service name also has to work after the first meeting. My questions include what goes on the agreement, what the customer sees during delivery and how the final work is described. The address should feel appropriate through those moments rather than only on the homepage.

The first service should be specific

DFY gives a founder plenty of room, so I would begin with a specific package. One customer and one well-defined outcome are easier to explain than a menu of unrelated services. That focus also helps a prospective buyer understand what remains their responsibility during the work.

I believe AI is lowering some of the effort needed to prototype a website or explore a software process. For a service founder, that could mean showing a draft client journey before committing to a full system. It still takes judgment and reliable delivery to make the service worth buying.

Where the studio fits

OnlineBusiness.com is my strategy and development studio. It supports the presentations for PremiumBrands and my wider interest in shaping online businesses around practical offers. PremiumBrands is where the domain is offered and where I discuss acquisition with people interested in it.

If DFY.co fits the service you want to provide, Request Details. Describe the customer and what they would receive from your first engagement. The About This Site sets out the domain opportunity, so we can talk about the name with a clear understanding of the offer.
